Key Ingredients in Dandruff Shampoo

Dandruff is a common scalp condition found in almost all age groups. It may cause irritation due to an itchy and flaky scalp. It is caused due to a yeast infection and other fungi. There are several brands on the market which work differently on various types of dandruff. The difference lies in the key ingredient or the active ingredient present in these, otherwise ordinary shampoos.

All dandruff shampoos contain a basic scalp cleanser i.e. sodium laureth sulfate or ammonium laureth sulfate which creates a lather when mixed with water. Some manufacturers use ketoconazole, or salicylic acid as a key ingredient in dandruff shampoos. These chemical derivatives regulate the keratinization. They act tough on the fungal growth on scalp and are effective in physically removing dandruff. However, the effectiveness of these shampoos depends on the amount of active ingredient added in the shampoo.

Another active compound found in major dandruff shampoo brands is zinc pyrithione which is popularly known as ZPT. It acts as an antibacterial and antifungal agent. It is effective in healing most common forms of dandruff. Other than chemical compounds, some dandruff shampoos come with natural derivatives such as Neem and sandalwood oil which may be effective in healing dandruff and also have a soothing effect on the scalp after a wash.

Online Prescriptions have Eased the Task of Obtaining Medicines

Although there was a time when our grandmother’s home remedy for treatment of a certain disease used to work wonders, with many diseases having become resistant to most of the age old medicines in the modern day world, it becomes extremely essential for sick people to go to a doctor for getting the right form of medicine for the disease. At such a time, coming across the right doctor is a matter of good fortune, but then what if one doesn’t? A good aspect for many people who are not able to go to a doctor for a consultation about their disease is to go for a doctor, who can advise and prescribe medicines on the internet. In fact, another good aspect of this is that, many such doctors actually give online prescriptions for certain diseases to a patient.

Even though many people are yet to come across the wonders of this concept, especially in the more advanced countries across the globe, it has become a highly accepted boon. In fact, getting online prescriptions from a doctor is as easy as well as simple as getting it from a doctor at your local surgery.  These doctors write a prescription for the medicine to treat a disease, of course on payment of a nominal fee.

Vitamin Tablets can Help to Boost your Health

Vitamin tablets are necessary for people who are ignorant of the importance of a healthy diet. Vitamins are required for your metabolism, and they are mostly found in our diet. We can also increase our intake by eating certain types of fruit daily. It is also important to understand that you must not skip your meals thinking that you have had enough nourishment through eating fruit alone.

Vitamin tablets are especially for those addicted to junk food or leading unhealthy lifestyles. However, a consultation with a physician is necessary to analyze the quantity and the type of vitamins the body needs. Those who are considering vitamin tablets must know that there are water soluble and fat-soluble vitamins, and the doses are different depending on the needs of the body.

Many have got into the habit of taking vitamin tablets just to supplement what they could not find in foods. Here, talking to the nutritionist is the best self-help to overcome the side effects of heavy doses. Mostly, doctors prescribe extra vitamin supplements only when the patient is on high antibiotics or weak because of prolonged illness.  For those patients, vitamin tablets work in getting better faster and bouncing back to their pre-condition.
